Unfolding Layers
Hyejeong Cho
acrylic sheets, calico, PVC
This work repurposes discarded objects, using the box as a metaphor for personal and everyday life, highlighted through its capacity to fold and unfold. By integrating interlocking acrylic panels, the artist explores new forms and functions, challenging conventional views of the box. The transformation of two-dimensional collages into three-dimensional art through the box's structure pushes boundaries while preserving the integrity of craftsmanship.
